Blueberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

Start your day right with this delightfully thick and creamy blueberry banana smoothie bowl. Packed full of healthy and, of course, yummy ingredients – you simply can’t go wrong!

My kids and I love to make these fun smoothie bowls in the morning. We’ve even been known to throw one together in the afternoon as a great pick me up!

Bananas and blueberries are my two favorite fruits to use in smoothie bowls. Together, they provide a sweet fruity flavor, a thick consistency and just an overall satisfying blend!

Are Smoothie Bowls Healthy?

You bet they are! I mean, as with anything they can certainly be on the unhealthy side, but if made properly then they are delightfully healthy! I never use sugar or gluten or anything like that in my smoothie bowls. They are naturally sweetened and thickened to perfection.

Smoothie bowls are a great way to get your fruits in. Some people love eating fruit and others don’t. I know it seems strange, but there ARE people out there (like me) who don’t like to eat fruit. I LOVE eating vegetables but I really do not like eating fruit. So this Blueberry Banana Smoothie Bowl is a fantastic way for me to get in some healthy fruits!

Why Put Bananas in Smoothie Bowls?

Bananas are a really common ingredient in smoothie bowls. Why? Because they are naturally sweet, but more so it is because they are thick and help to make the smoothie bowl thicker with just the right conistency.

You can certainly replace the bananas with another fruit, BUT you will lose some of that wonderful thickness.
